Listerine has always been a staple in my family. I remember the days of my father using the Original Listerine. As I grew older, I myself, made it a habit of mine. Recently my Dentist recommended the Listerine Zero. Bingo I thought, because I hated the "taste" of the powerful ALCOHOL ones. Well it worked, I liked it, I have used it for about 2 months now, however, recently I noticed my cheeks were like "peeling" skin of white gummy strings when using the product. I had only noticed it mostly in the mornings and originally thought it was just something I had the night before or "bacteria" from my mouth. However, they problem has become pretty consistent and when other research I have found that this is of no problem of my mouth but with Listerine itself. I will finish up my bottles and no longer buy the Listerine Zero. I will, however, continue to use other Listerine products as I do like the product.

The first time I used this Listerine was when I went to the dentist for the first time after a few years. After my cleaning, my doctor allowed me to use Listerine Zero, at first I was veery nervous because my mouth was in pain from having a cleaning. But then I actually tried it, and it felt painless and minty. It made my mouth feel extremely clean, and did not cause any pain to my already sensitive gums. Amazing product.

I tried this because it was not as strong as the ones with alcohol. At first I really liked the way it left my mouth right after using it. The problem is that it was causing my mouth to dry very bad and causing worse bad breath. Not knowing what was causing it I began brushing and using it several times a day which dried my mouth even more. It was also causing a film in my mouth within an hour after using it. That even gave me a worse complex because I was afraid that it would show when I talked to someone or smiled. Ugh! After realizing it was making matters worse I stopped using it completely. It has been a few days and I don't have the same complex I was having and my mouth does not feel dry anymore. I still have not totally resolved the issue with bad breath but it is not as magnified as when I was using this.
