After seeing how his meditation practice helped fuel his successful career, Khajak Keledjian, who started a hugely successful retail clothing company, launched INSCAPE in 2016 to make meditation accessible to everyone, everywhere. We sat down with him to discuss how meditation can Unlock Your Bold.
Can you tell us about INSCAPE’s approach to meditation?
INSCAPE offers immersive guided meditation experiences through a contemporary lens. We created INSCAPE to empower people to connect with their best selves, find balance and live life to its fullest, anytime, anywhere. We’ve created secular and approachable meditation experiences that are delivered through our app and flagship New York City studio.
Why do you believe meditation is so important, especially for high-performing individuals?
As a busy CEO, I can say that the key to tough decisions isn’t going to be found in the books. Meditation helped me harness my intuition, think more clearly and take bold risks. With my improved focus, I am able to be fast and resilient, while at the same time I can be calm and balanced.
How does practicing meditation help inspire you to be bold in your daily life?
You’re much more aware of everything that happens around you, to you, and within you. This means your risks are more calculated and your decisions are more informed, so your actions can be much bolder.
How can meditation help you Unlock Your Bold?
Perceptions toward meditation are shifting – it used to be about spirituality, but now people understand its benefits, and how it can empower them to connect to their best selves.
You have 1,440 minutes in a day. Taking 20 minutes to tap into your self - that's self-care, and that’s crucial. Meditation is an extension of modern wellness and eventually it will be an integral part of your routine, just like brushing, flossing and swishing.
