Strangely dry mouth after using the mouthwash

Review Questions:
Age: 25-34
State: New Hampshire
Review Text:
Was worried that I had a bad batch of this mouthwash as I have used other versions of listerine and have never experienced this before. Could only use it for 10 seconds or so because my mouth would feel excessively dry and uncomfortable. In order to relieve this I had to rinse my mouth many times. Wish I had not bought 2 for £6 from Boots. Would not recommend this product.

Inside of mouth is peeling off

Review Questions:
Age: 35-44
State: Georgia
Review Text:
I've used Listerine off and on for years, and started on Listerine Zero several weeks ago. Almost immediately, and after every time I continue to use it, a layer of skin from the inside of my cheeks peels off. I love pulling it out of my mouth, it's so appetizing. I asked my dentist and he basically said "I hear this a lot. All I can say is, if it's making your skin peel off, do you think should keep using it?" Disappointed that Listerine hasn't addressed this obviously prevalent issue.

Skin peeling

I think it's safe to say when a product tears up your cheeks from the inside, it shouldn't be used. I really hope this didn't just screw up my teeth too and I just can't tell yet.

Makes skin peel in mouth

Review Questions:
Age: 25-34
State: Pennsylvania
Review Text:
It doesn't look like I need to say much since almost everyone has had the same experience with this mouthwash. It's rather disgusting pulling peices of skin out of my mouth after I use this mouthwash. You say this is not typical but it seems pretty typical when 99% of people experience it. Will not purchase again.

Count me as another with clean teeth but peeling skin in mouth after using Listerine Total Care Zero

Review Questions:
Age: 55 to 64
State: District of Columbia
Review Text:
I stumbled upon this site after trying to figure out what was wrong after a week or more of using the sample given me by my dentist... My teeth feel clean and I don't hate the taste --you get used to it -- but am realizing that the roof of my mouth and my lower mouth under my tongue and around the back sides of my teeth are peeling and swelling -- as if I had had drunk hot cocoa and the skin had peeled because of a burn. I've begun to have bloody spit when I brush my teeth... Something I've never had before. Don't use this product... Unless they reconfigure it so it's good for your teeth and your gums. No use having better enamel if your gums are receding. Sigh

I too did a search to see if this is a normal reaction to the product--the peeling of skin in the mouth after using Listerine Zero products--and it seems overwhelmingly so! This is horrifying to say the least.
